The American Association of Women Dentists is proud to announce a strategic alliance with Sullivan-Schein to help shape the future of women in dentistry.
"This alliance was formed because we are interested in learning more about the 'real' needs of women dentists to help define the future of dentistry," said Michele Penrose, director of education for Sullivan-Schein Dental. "We will work with AAWD and dental manufacturers to help identify and offer products and services for women dentists. Through our Continuing Education for Healthcare Professionals (CEHP) Division, we hope to increase the number of female speakers at national seminars who will offer unique learning opportunities. We will support the AAWD's effort to better serve women in dentistry."
"This has been a great year for AAWD and our strategic alliance with Sullivan-Schein will add additional value for our members and strengthen our association," said Risé Lyman, DDS, president of AAWD. "This is a great opportunity for AAWD to get more visibility; having the support of Sullivan-Schein reinforces the idea that if you are a woman dentist in the United States, you should be a member of AAWD. More importantly, we are contributing to the greater good, by strengthening the role of women's leadership in dentistry. AAWD looks forward to a long and successful relationship with Sullivan-Schein Dental."
