Dental Resources is now making a new Clear Hard splint for its Proflex line of semi-flexible materials. The new NFC clear, when used in conjunction with a clear base strengthener, provides an all-hard splint that is semi-flexible. The resulting splint will flex with the movement of the jaw without cracking; is more resistant to abrasion, distortion, and crackage, and lastly, since it will flex, there is less chairside adjustments to the inside of the splint. The technique for making these appliances requires no special equipment, can be made in less than two hours, and is totally repairable.
