After being accused by the Oklahoma State Board of Dentistry in March of practicing improper infection control procedures in his office, Dr. Harrington closed his practice and over 7,000 of his patients began being tested for HIV and hepatitis. Currently, over half of his ex-patients have been tested. Of those, 77 patients have tested positive for hepatitis C, five for hepatitis B, and four for HIV.
Harrington still has not made any comments on the situation. His license revocation hearing is set for August 16 during a regularly scheduled Board meeting in Oklahoma City.
