Colgate Oral Pharmaceuticals introduces new PreviDent 5000 Booster Plus
At the Chicago Midwinter Dental Meeting, Colgate Oral Pharmaceuticals launched a new product in their PreviDent line, a prescription-only home fluoride therapy toothpaste. Building on its 20 years of PreviDent leadership in Rx Fluorides, Colgate PreviDent 5000 Booster Plus is an ideal product for high-risk caries patients as dental caries remains the most common chronic disease globally.(1,2)
PreviDent 5000 Booster Plus contains 1.1% sodium fluoride (5,000 ppm), FluoriGard technology and tricalcium phosphate. The new formula with FluoriGard technology has been shown in in vitro pH cycling studies to provide better remineralization after 10 days and unsurpassed remineralization after 20 days versus another 5000ppm RX fluoride toothpaste.(3)
Similar to other products within the PreviDent 5000 portfolio, PreviDent 5000 Booster Plus is a unique liquid gel formula that enables faster fluoride dispersion versus paste-form prescription toothpaste.(5) PreviDent 5000 prescription strength home fluoride liquid gel formulas are also available to help treat symptoms of specific oral care conditions:
• PreviDent 5000 Sensitive
• PreviDent 5000 Dry Mouth
• PreviDent 5000 Enamel Protect
PreviDent 5000 Booster Plus is currently available in 3.4 fl.oz. (100mL) bottles, in Spearmint and Fruitastic flavors. PreviDent 5000 Booster Plus is the only variant in the PreviDent 5000 product line that is formulated with FluoriGard Technology to promote enhanced fluoride uptake and remineralization.(3,4)
