Happy abundant and prosperous New Year!
Many of us are either familiar with or have taken a quiz in a magazine or on Facebook such as “Which Superhero are you?” or “Which Superpower would you choose?”
It’s fun to imagine yourself with qualities that you might not typically display.
One of the ways we complement the missing parts of our lives is through our imagination. When I was young, I wished I was older. If I am shy, I fantasize about being the life of the party. If I feel like I have no voice, I dream of creating a movement where I am heard. If I’m feminine, I desire to have more masculine traits. If I’m in charge or have power over people, I will yearn for situations where someone else takes the lead and just does it. If I’m a person who sacrifices my needs for others, then I imagine situations where people consider my feelings or needs first.
At the beginning of each year, we all have a blank slate. Everything is new, and we can choose to recreate our goals and recalibrate our visions. There is no better time to integrate all of us in our daily lives. Over the next few days, think about who you imagine being, what fantasies do you play with, what “fun” quizzes are you drawn to?
Then ask yourself: How can I dismantle the separate parts of me and gently bring voice to my desires and goals so I can create a vision for myself that includes all parts of me? (Not just the parts that you think are safe to share.)
Visioning is the process of establishing a clear, very detailed picture in your mind of what you want for all aspects of your life—health, finances, relationship, career, spirit, and more. Visioning uses both mental and visual tools of your mind, soul, and body. With visioning, you tap into your imagination and create a future, an aligned future of what you want and desire for your life and who you will be in that journey.
Lastly, with your vision alive at the forefront of your mind, written in your journal, in your iPhone and/or on a vision board, you will stay more connected and centered to your whole self and make the aligned choices that will lead you to your destination. As 2016 unfolds, I look forward to being a part of you making your vision a reality.
Congratulations,
Kristine
