DentistryIQ names Tija Hunter editorial director of Dental Assisting Digest
The Endeavor Business Media Dental Group is pleased to announce that effective March 1, 2020, Tija Hunter, CDA, EFDA, CDIA, CDSH, CDSO, MADAA, is the editorial director of Dental Assisting Digest, DentistryIQ's monthly newsletter for dental assistants. In her new role, Hunter will oversee content development for the newsletter and work with the Endeavor Business Media publishing team to position Dental Assisting Digest as a leading marketing channel for companies in the dental industry.

Hunter started her dental career in 1992. Today she works as a dental assistant and office manager for a general dental practice in O'Fallon, Missouri. She began writing for dental publications more than 10 years ago, with her first article being published by Dental Assisting Digest.

Hunter was named one of the Top 25 Women in Dentistry in 2015. She is a member of the American Dental Assistants Association, in which she holds the honor of master and is the organization's vice president. She is also the president-elect of the Illinois Dental Assistants Association, founder of the Dental Assistants Study Club of St. Louis, and director of the Dental Careers Institute, which has five locations in the United States. Hunter is an author of continuing education courses, an international speaker, and a certified trainer in nitrous oxide in several states.
