From the Etruscan removable bridge to the first Digital Smile software, last frontier of the dental technology.
On December 3-6 during the Euromold of Frankfurt, visitors will have the chance to relive the history of dental technologies through a gallery dedicated to the "history of the smile."
The gallery at the conference, named “The Smile History,” is dedicated to the evolution of the smile and dental prostheses from 2500 BC to current dentistry, focusing on the development of dental technologies, the portrait of smile in arts, and the precursors of dental technicians. Visitors will discover, for example, that the first great dental technicians were born in Italy or that until the end of the 19th Century, portraits showing smile were absolute rarities because it was considered childish.
The gallery will also highlight the Digital Smile System, a software developed by EGS for esthetic previews of virtual smiles, showing the patient the final version of the prosthetic result, as well as to provide the dental technician with aesthetical information for the final prosthesis.
Conference visitors will have the chance to see the software in action and they will be invited to try it, getting in few minutes the virtual preview on their smile. The gallery will be set at Pavilion 9 booth C159, inside the Italian Space, dedicated to the exposition of all the Italian excellence.
EGS has more than 15 years of experience in CAD/CAM industry.
