Tuesday Tip from Pride Institute: New year ... New you? Improve your dental practice in 2016

Jan. 5, 2016
Pride Institute wants to help your dental practice get the new year off to a good start. Those resolutions do not need to be overlooked. Just answer a couple of questions to get your practice on the right track for 2016.

Right around the time everyone starts singing “Auld Lang Syne,” people become wistful about the past, but at the same time they look to the future with hope and a solid dose of fear. New Year’s resolutions for losing weight, getting healthy, spending more time with loved ones, or striving to achieve world peace may sound possible in the moment, but how quickly are they forgotten?

We all know that when it comes to getting what we want from our dental practice, nine times out of 10 it’s just easier to get busy getting busy so we can justify not changing. So, our Pride Institute New Year’s challenge to dentists and dental teams is to ask yourselves—What do you want to do differently for different results in 2016?

What we mean by “different results” includes any negatives you want to turn around, a positive you may want to improve or take to a new level, or something totally new that you want to integrate into your business culture. Never forget that leaders must be possibility thinkers, not probability thinkers.

So as we take on 2016 and wipe the 2015 slate clean, are you daring to dream? Welcome to your official “Dare to Dream/New Year’s Resolution Virtual Repository.” Fill in the following statements as a comment on our site, and the Pride team will be there to help you achieve all that you wish for.

In 2016 our dreams for our practice include: ________________________________________.

We’ll know we are achieving our goals when we see the following results: __________________________________________.
