I just got back from RDH Under One Roof where I had a chance to spend some time with luminaires like Karen Davis, Stacy McCauley, Patti DiGangi, Kristy Menage Bernie, Tricia Osuna, Jackie Sanders, and all of Sunstar/RDH Award of Distinction Recipients. They all blew me away.
So did the wonderful and tireless folks at PennWell — Heather Hodges, Craig Dickson, Christopher Page, Darlene Starks, AnNicole Faeth, Mark Hartley, Machelle Galloway, Rod Washington, Auggie James, Jay Martorelli, Amanda Ross, and Dr Chris Salierno.
And, of course, the sponsors and exhibitors made the event extraordinary between educational programs and fun by hosting end-of-day events.
I was part of the panel at the UOR Mega Session on July15. The RDH View Live: Transforming the Dental Hygiene Experience also featured Jo-Anne Jones, Kathleen Bokrossy, Maria Perno Goldie, Jamie O’Day, and Jennifer Cicci.
I shared with the audience the biggest thing I see my clients struggle with, which is balancing being a health-care provider and embracing the notion that abundance is not how much money you have in the world — abundance is what you do and feel about that money.
So many providers struggle with case acceptance or having financial conversation with patients about their needed treatment. Often, I hear providers “assume” their patients can’t afford it or “assume” they won’t do it if insurance doesn’t cover it, and/or they just don’t like talking about money because it makes them feel “salesy.” I heard from a lot of you that you agreed.
