A Future to Smile About
By Heather Colicchio
AADOM members are passionate ... about their careers, their dental practices, and the communities they serve. At the heart of dentistry, it's the communities and patients we serve that make dentistry a great profession. It is in this spirit that AADOM is proud to announce “A Future to Smile About.” This initiative, in conjunction with Patterson Dental, is a campaign to support Oral Health America's (OHA) Smiles Across America program, which benefits underserved children across the Us by providing much needed oral health care. For every AADOM membership purchased during this year-long initiative, AADOM and Patterson Dental will each donate $50 to the Smiles Across America program.

“A Future to Smile About” will benefit the Smiles Across America program, which reaches over 400,000 children annually in school-based or school-linked settings, with oral disease prevention and oral health promotion services such as dental sealants, fluoride varnish treatments, and family education. Until recently, many of OHA’s programs were successful due in large part to the support of corporate sponsors. With "A Future to Smile About," YOU have the power to make a difference. This initiative puts the power of change back in the hands of the dental team members. The campaign, which runs through January 31, 2016, is quite simple—when the dentist/practice gives the gift of education to their front office team through AADOM membership, the gift of oral health is given to a child. AADOM Executive Director Kim McQueen states, “Through this initiative, there is an opportunity to change the lives of children you don't necessarily see, while enriching the professional career of your dental practice management team.” Help AADOM bring help to those in need, and enjoy the benefits of AADOM membership while you do! What is AADOM Fellowship? (FAADOM)
A professional distinction and title can lead to better visibility, opportunities, and career. In today's increasingly complex and highly-specialized economy, credentials are everything. Sure, you know you've got the skills to do the job, but how do you convince your patients, your employer, and potential employers? For many career-minded professionals, a professional distinction such as AADOM Fellowship is often the answer.
Fellowship applications for induction in Nashville must be submitted by July 3, 2015. Watch a video with more information, and learn more about how to earn this distinction at dentalmanagers.com/faadom.
