Dec. 28, 2012
The U.S. Chamber Institute for Legal Reform has issued a list of the Top Ten Most Ridiculous Lawsuits of 2012, which was compiled based on reader votes over the year. The suits range from a woman who filed a $5 million suit for leftover gas that was left in her repossessed car to a drunk driver from Florida who pleaded guilty to manslaughter – then sued the victim. (What?) But perhaps the most golden suit of the year was the maximum security inmate who went to jail with five teeth – and then sued the prison for dental problems.
