ADA launches website for oral health information on the go
CHICAGO, Illinois--The American Dental Association has launched a new version of its MouthHealthy.org website that is optimized for use on mobile devices such as smartphones.
The new mobile version of MouthHealthy.org is designed to provide oral health information to consumers on the go.
Available in English and Spanish, MouthHealthy.org mobile is organized by life stages and includes information on the top 10 dental symptoms, how to handle dental emergencies, A-Z oral health topics, as well as how to find an ADA member dentist and products with the ADA Seal of Acceptance.
Soon, users will be able to use their current location to search for member dentists in their immediate area or by their zip code.
“The ADA is America’s advocate for oral health. This mobile version of MouthHealthy.org is another way to help Americans brush up their oral health knowledge,” said Robert A. Faiella, DMD, MMSc., ADA president.
In the summer of 2012, Americans scored a “D” on an ADA dental IQ quiz. The series of true or false questions ranged from how often to brush, what age a child should first visit a dentist and what causes cavities.
The ADA launched its consumer-focused MouthHealthy.org website in June 2012 to provide visitors with oral health information in a lively format.
